FAQ
Answers for delegates
The practical questions delegates ask most, from attendance and approval to the two-city format and visas.
Who is the roundtable for?
Government officials, OEM and component-supplier executives, financiers and development institutions, multilateral organisations and accredited media, focused on African automotive investment, manufacturing and trade.
How do I attend?
Attendance is by approval. Complete the registration form to request an invitation. The secretariat reviews every registration and confirms approved delegates by email.
When and where is it?
The roundtable runs on 2 to 3 October 2026. Day 1 is in Alamein, Egypt; Day 2 is site visits in 6th of October City, Cairo.
What happens on each day?
Day 1 is the high-level segment, investment briefings, the ministerial roundtable, structured B2B and B2G meetings and an evening reception. Day 2 is visits to host manufacturing plants.
How do the B2B meetings work?
Approved delegates access a delegate directory and can send meeting requests to other delegates, who accept or decline. Confirmed meetings appear in each delegate's area.
Can I attend more than one site visit?
No. Each delegate selects one host plant at registration, as places are limited per plant.
Do I need a visa?
Delegates travelling to Egypt may need a visa. You can request an invitation letter during registration; visa issuance is decided by the Egyptian authorities.
Can press attend?
Media attend the opening High-Level Segment. Press depart after the opening; the rest of the programme is for delegates.
