About the Roundtable

Building the African automotive value chain through investment

The Africa Automotive Investment Roundtable convenes government, industry and finance to turn the African Continental Free Trade Area into vehicle manufacturing, supplier growth and cross-border investment.

The opportunity

One continental market for the motor industry

The AfCFTA joins African economies into a single market of over one billion people. For the automotive sector that means the scale to justify local assembly, a deeper supplier base and the financing to build it. This roundtable exists to move that from ambition to transactions.

  • Ministerial dialogue on local content, tariffs, customs and free-zone incentives across the corridor.
  • Investment briefings on the Egypt to East and Southern Africa automotive corridor.
  • Structured B2B and B2G meetings between OEMs and component suppliers.
  • Site visits to five operating manufacturing and Tier 1 plants in 6th of October City.
